Community
St. Philip's is an anchoring point for its members, offering a connection to the spiritual life through regular Sunday worship as well as a host of other activities and gatherings, including a number of service opportunities.
Parish life at St Philips is characterized by the loving and joyful interaction of members of a small, tightly-knit congregation, with a deep connectedness to one another and to God as the inter-weaving common thread.
It is challenging to attempt to describe the common personality of the whole, but it is safe to say that we embrace a fairly open theology and we believe in the diversity of all God's people.
Father Peter Pearson came to St. Philip's from Pittsburgh in 2005. You can read more about him here.

We believe that our space with the community is important, and St. Philip's lends a home to several community groups. We provide space for a weekly meetings of AA and ACOA and occasional meetings of the needlework guild and a local garden club. On the first and third Wednesdays of each month, the members of the Old Path Buddhist Sangha come to the Chapel to chant and meditate. The Beaver Pond Poetry Forum also meets here; check the events calendar to find out when the next forum is scheduled.
St. Philip's is part of the the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. We are a member of the the Episcopal Coalition for Gay & Lesbian Outreach, an independent, interparish ministry of parishes within the diocese.
