Weddings at St. Philip's

Saint Philip's is a simple stone chapel, built in the early 1800's as a one-room schoolhouse. Over the years it has been modified to suit the needs of a worshiping community without losing its original simplicity and charm. It is the perfect setting for an intimate gathering. We can seat about 65 people comfortably—beyond that number things become quite a bit cozier. We have an electronic organ as well as a beautiful Steinway piano available for your use. Our gardens provide a beautiful setting for photographs and quiet reflection.

The use of our church is available to couples for weddings and similar celebrations on a rental basis. The fee to use the space is $500. This includes any rehearsal time and the actual event along with a window of time for setup and lingering afterwards for photos. It is even possible to discuss having your reception on our grounds (please ask about this option).

We ask that you plan to leave your floral decorations for the community's use on the following Sunday. Our fee does not include a stipend for a presider or any musicians. We are happy to assist you in finding someone to officiate and to provide beautiful music for your celebration. You will be responsible for any cleanup that may need to happen after your service.
